Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

In short: BitSwap sends files and messages directly between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi. We don't run servers that receive your files or messages, and we don't ask you to create an account.

This policy applies to the BitSwap app for Android (package com.lanzo.app) and Windows, published by the BitSwap developer ("we", "us"). BitSwap lets you send files and chat with nearby devices without using the internet.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. We have no user accounts, and the files you transfer and the messages you send never pass through any server of ours.

Information stored on your device

To work, the app keeps some data locally on your own device only:

You can remove this data at any time by clearing it in the app or uninstalling BitSwap.

Permissions the app uses

These permissions are used only for the features described above.

How your data is shared

Files and messages are sent directly from one device to another device that you choose. They are shared only with the device you select, and in Secure mode the transfer is encrypted. We do not share your data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.

On-device processing

Some features, such as organising or labelling images, run on your device. This processing does not send your images anywhere.

Children

BitSwap is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Security

Because your data stays on your devices and travels only over your local connection, it never sits on our servers. You are responsible for only accepting transfers from devices you trust and for keeping your own devices secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
